Terms and Conditions of Sale

These Terms and Conditions are provided in English for information purposes. In case of doubt or discrepancy, the French version shall prevail.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to orders placed on kevintrouillet.com.

The website is operated by Kevin Trouillet EI, art craftsman and woodturner, registered under the SIRET number indicated in the legal notice of the website.

For any question regarding an order, you can contact me through the Contact page of the website or by email at the address indicated in the legal notice.

  1. Products

The website offers handmade wooden creations, made in my workshop in Creuse, France.

These may include decorative pieces, woodturned objects, soliflores, pods, decorative mushrooms, pendulums, small studio collections or other creations available online.

As each piece is handmade, slight variations may occur from one item to another: shape, dimensions, color, grain, texture, finish or details related to the material.

Photographs are intended to be as accurate as possible, but slight differences may appear depending on lighting, screen settings or the natural variations of wood.

  1. Price

Prices are indicated in euros.

Kevin Trouillet EI benefits from the French VAT exemption scheme. VAT is therefore not applicable, in accordance with article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

Shipping costs are indicated before order confirmation and are added to the price of the products.

  1. Order

The customer selects the desired products, adds them to the cart, and confirms the order after checking the cart contents, delivery address, shipping method and payment method.

Before final confirmation, the customer can correct the information entered.

Order confirmation implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The order confirmation button clearly indicates that the order involves an obligation to pay.

  1. Payment

Payment is made online using the payment methods offered on the website at the time of order.

Card payments are processed by a secure payment provider. Banking information is not stored by Kevin Trouillet EI.

The order is prepared after payment confirmation.

  1. Product availability

Products offered online are available within the limits of the displayed stock.

Some pieces are unique or available in very small quantities. In the exceptional event of a stock error or unavailability after an order has been placed, the customer will be contacted as soon as possible in order to offer a solution: refund, replacement or waiting for a new availability if possible.

  1. Shipping

Orders are shipped from the workshop located in Creuse, France.

Available shipping methods and their rates are shown at checkout.

The website may offer, depending on the destination:

  • - shipping within France by Colissimo;
  • - shipping within France by Mondial Relay;
  • - shipping within the European Union outside France;
  • - international shipping outside the European Union, including to the United States depending on the countries open for sale.

For Mondial Relay delivery, the customer must indicate the desired pickup point during checkout. Without this information, the order cannot be properly prepared.

Orders are carefully packed to protect the pieces during transport.

Preparation and shipping times may vary depending on workshop availability. Available pieces are generally shipped within a few working days.

Transport times then depend on the carrier chosen and the destination country.

For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes or local formalities may apply in the destination country. Any such costs remain the responsibility of the customer.

  1. Receiving the order

The customer must check the condition of the parcel and the piece upon delivery.

If the parcel is damaged, opened or shows signs of deterioration, it is recommended to refuse the parcel or make reservations with the carrier.

In case of any problem noticed upon delivery, the customer must contact Kevin Trouillet EI as soon as possible, with photographs of the parcel, the packaging and the piece concerned.

  1. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with the regulations applicable to distance selling, consumer customers have a period of 14 days from receipt of the order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide any reason.

To exercise this right, the customer must inform Kevin Trouillet EI of the decision to withdraw, by email or through the Contact page of the website, before the 14-day period expires.

The customer may use the withdrawal form provided at the end of these Terms and Conditions, but this is not mandatory.

The product must be returned in its original condition, unused, undamaged and properly protected in suitable packaging.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in case of an error on my part or a defect noticed upon receipt.

The refund is issued after the returned piece has been received and checked, or after proof of return shipment has been provided.

The refund covers the price of the product and, where applicable, the initial standard shipping costs. Additional costs resulting from a more expensive shipping method chosen by the customer will not be refunded beyond the cost of standard delivery.

  1. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized creations or pieces made to order according to the customer’s specific requests.

This may include, in particular, a made-to-measure piece, a specific finish, engraving, adaptation of shape, color, dimensions, or any creation made according to the customer’s particular instructions.

  1. Returns

Before returning any item, the customer must contact Kevin Trouillet EI in order to receive return instructions.

The piece must be returned in sufficiently protective packaging. The customer is responsible for properly protecting the piece during return transport.

Any item returned damaged, incomplete or deteriorated due to improper handling or insufficient packaging may result in a reduction of the refund.

  1. Legal guarantees

The products sold benefit from the applicable legal guarantees.

In case of lack of conformity or hidden defect, the customer may contact Kevin Trouillet EI so that an appropriate solution can be sought in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Natural variations in wood, differences in grain, color nuances, slight irregularities related to handmade work or normal changes in the wood do not necessarily constitute a defect.

  1. Use of the pieces

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the pieces offered are decorative objects.

They are not intended for food use, to hold water, to be used as toys, or to be exposed to humidity, excessive heat or conditions that may alter the wood.

For soliflores, pods and decorative objects, the intended use is specified on the product page when necessary.

  1. Intellectual property

The photographs, texts, creations, forms, visuals and content displayed on kevintrouillet.com are protected.

Any reproduction, use or distribution without prior written authorization is prohibited.

  1. Personal data

Data collected during an order is used only for order processing, shipping, customer relations and possible accounting obligations.

For more information, the customer may consult the Privacy Policy of the website.

  1. Disputes

In case of difficulty, the customer is invited to contact Kevin Trouillet EI in order to seek an amicable solution.

In accordance with applicable rules, consumer customers may use a consumer mediator free of charge in the event of a dispute that has not been resolved amicably.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
